Multi-page scans, faxes and print masters

Scanners and fax gateways pack every page into a single TIFF. Upload the file and the pages come up in order, first to last.

Over the 25 MB limit? Re-export the scan with LZW or ZIP compression and the same page usually drops to a few megabytes. A TIFF that refuses to open is never password-protected — the format has no encryption of its own.

Going the other way, JPG and PNG convert to TIFF here, which is the format print and archive workflows ask for.

Flat, not layered

TIFF layers are a Photoshop-only tag. Every other reader shows the composite, and so does this.

25 MB per file

A full page scanned at 300 dpi fits uncompressed. Bigger scans fit once compressed.

Pixel-level zoom

Zoom and pan across scans, maps and line drawings.

Check the resolution

300 dpi prints sharp at page size. 72 dpi does not, however good the preview looks.

Nothing is kept

The file is deleted from the server after viewing.

Extensions this viewer takes

Two spellings of one format. Either opens; nothing else is needed.

.tiff

Tagged Image File Format — one file, one or many pages.

.tif

The three-letter form of the same file.
