Excel File Viewer

Upload an XLS, XLSX, CSV, ODS, XLSM, XLSB, XLTX or XLTM file up to 20 MB. It opens in the browser — no Excel, nothing to install.

What renders, and what does not

Upload the file. The sheet opens at full layout: column widths, merged cells, number and date formats, embedded charts. Formula cells show their result, not the formula text. Macros in an XLSM are never run — the workbook is drawn, not executed.

Eight extensions are accepted: XLS, XLSX, CSV, ODS, XLSM, XLSB, XLTX, XLTM. The limit is 20 MB per upload. Protected workbook? Type the password into the field under the upload box. Files are deleted from the server after viewing.

Viewing is not the only option. XLS and XLSX convert to PDF, JPG or PNG here, up to 5 MB — usually because the person receiving the numbers should read them, not edit them.

Embedded charts

Bar, line and pie charts render with the sheet.

Cell results

Formula cells display their value, not the formula.

Whole workbook

Every sheet in the file, not only the active tab.

Auto-delete

Uploads are removed from the server after viewing.
