A refused upload is almost always size. XML exports and log files are what pass 5 MB; split or trim the file. A file that opens as symbols is usually mislabelled — a .doc or a .pdf renamed .txt is still a .doc or a .pdf.

Uploads are erased after viewing. Need the file in another format rather than on screen? Use a converter page: the viewer shows you a document, a converter hands back a different one.
