Changes in this release:

  • Word processing engine updated. DOC, DOCX and ODT render more faithfully — tables, lists and section breaks that used to drift now hold their position.

  • Arabic text. Right-to-left runs, shaping and mixed-direction paragraphs are laid out correctly in Word documents.

  • PDF loading fix. A bug in the byte-array (byte[]) path could fail a PDF load outright. Fixed.

Email

EML and MSG render faster and more reliably. Headers, body and the attachment list come through; the email viewer takes those and EMLX, up to 10 MB.

Images

The image pipeline was reworked for lower memory use on large files. PSD, ICO, EPS, TGA and WebP benefit most. PSD opens in the PSD viewer at up to 25 MB; ICO, EPS and TGA in the vector and raw image viewer at the same ceiling; WebP in either that or the image viewer.

A note on what these viewers are: they render. There is no editing and no export back to the source format. A PSD opens as the composite Photoshop saved — masks, blend modes and layer opacity already applied, with no layer panel to toggle. PSB is not accepted.
