The modern workplace is evolving, and so are the tools we use to manage documents. Key Features that Enhance Your Experience

1. Wide Format Support

Seventeen viewers, 70+ extensions between them, with the size ceiling set per format:

  • Text documents: DOC, DOCX, ODT, RTF and five more — 15 MB
  • Spreadsheets: XLS, XLSX, ODS, CSV, XLSM, XLSB — 20 MB
  • Presentations: PPT, PPTX, ODP and six more — 20 MB
  • PDF — 25 MB
  • CAD: DWG, DXF, DGN — 10 MB
  • Images: PSD, SVG, TIFF, JPG, PNG, EPS, DNG and more — 25 MB
  • Email: EML, MSG, EMLX — 10 MB
  • Visio — 25 MB · Project — 20 MB · EPUB — 25 MB · XML, HTML, TXT — 5 MB

It is a fixed catalogue, not "anything". When a format is not on it, the upload box says so rather than accepting the file and failing later.

2. What you can do with an open document

  • Zoom, and fit the page to the window.
  • Page forward and back, and jump to a page number.
  • Print.
  • Search, on documents that carry a text layer.
  • On CAD drawings: switch layers off one at a time, and measure distance, angle and area.

3. Device Compatibility

The viewer is a web page, so a desktop, a tablet and a phone all work and the operating system stops mattering.

4. Nothing is kept

The file is uploaded over TLS, rendered on the server, and deleted when the session ends. No account, no library, no second copy — which is a shorter privacy story than any retention policy, because there is nothing left to retain.

5. Sending a document on

Send the file and point the recipient at the viewer page for its format; they read it with no reader of their own. There is no link to your open document to hand over — each upload belongs to one session, and the file goes when it ends.

6. Advanced Image Viewing

A separate viewer handles the awkward image formats: TIFF, SVG, ICO, DNG, CDR, CMX, TGA, EPS, EMF, WMF and JP2, up to 25 MB. PSD has its own page, also 25 MB, and opens the composite Photoshop saved — masks and blend modes applied, no layer panel, and PSB refused.

7. Free

No account, no sign-in, no paid tier and nothing to upgrade to. The commercial product is the SDK on Doconut.com, which is for developers embedding a viewer in their own software.

What it does not do

Worth being exact, because "document workflow" suggests more than a viewer does:

  • No editing. Nothing here changes a document.
  • No annotation or comments. Those belong to the Doconut SDK, which is the same engine licensed for embedding in your own software.
  • No real-time collaboration. Two people opening the same file separately are reading, not co-authoring.
  • No OCR. Search reads a text layer. A scan is a picture of text and returns nothing.
  • No batch. One file per upload; no ZIP, no queue.

For anything on that list, the file needs the application that made it — or the SDK, inside a product you build.
